A dying man experiences that angels exist
The body of Bruce Van Natta was completely crushed when a truck, weighing thousands of pounds, fell down on him. Several arteries were severed and most of his intestines were shattered. The pain Bruce experienced was too horrific for words and he only had a few minutes left to live. He was dying…
Then Bruce cried out to God: ‘Lord, help me!’
At that same moment all the pain disappeared and he was filled with an inexplicable peace. He suddenly ‘left’ his body and found himself hovering over the truck. He saw his crushed body lying on the floor and a colleague sitting next to him. But what he also saw, shocked him… On both sides on his body he saw two enormous, luminous shapes holding their hands on his body.
Two angels were keeping his body alive!
Later on the doctors in the hospitals told him that there was no person in medical history who had survived after severing five arteries and having so many intestines crushed. It is simply not possible. Bruce should have bled to death. But he angels who held Bruce’s body protected it.
Bruce miraculously recovered completely and is now a healthy man and father, who lives to tell people all over the world about the wonderful God he serves… This is an amazing example of how God can send His angels to save the lives of His people, when we cry out to Him.
Victims of car accident know that angels exist
Two cars crash at full speed in a head on collision on Highway Six in Texas. The cars overturned several times and thrashed each other. Lisa Bowdoin was in the car that was upside down. She couldn’t unbuckle herself and was trapped in a burning car. Cheri and Cody Clemmons witnessed the drama and rushed in to help. Cody immediately noticed it was impossible to remove Lisa from the car since the car was crushed and there was no opening for her to fit through. However, Cheri and Cody were both believers in Jesus Christ and begged Him for help.
At that moment they suddenly noticed two big white hands that enclosed around Cody’s hands and who lifted the obese Lisa effortlessly from the burning wreckage.
Lisa saw a bright light shining into the car and also saw the two luminous hands. Shortly after that she found herself safely on the grass next to the car. Cheri, who was standing next to the car, also saw the bright lights and the white hands.
In the other burning car Anthony Russo was still retained. Therese Surely, an older woman who also witnessed the accident, cried out to God: ‘O God, You have to help this man, You have to help this man!’ Just moments later everyone saw how Anthony floated out of the vehicle and was laid down in the grass. Anthony was unconscious for most of the time. He is convinced God has send him an angel to rescue him. These five people got acquainted in a tragic accident where there cry for help was heard by Jesus Christ.
They all were eyewitnesses of the presence of the angels, sent by God, which saved the lives of Lisa and Anthony.

Josiah Lamb is convinced that angels exist
Twelve year old Josiah Lamb was racing with his jet ski on the water and unknowingly cruised towards a rope stretched over the water. Just before he would hit the rope, he suddenly noticed that the sky above him illuminated and it seemed like time stood still. He perceived a large amount of impressive looking angels. ‘The angels didn’t look like cuddly cupids but were huge and wore fiery swords in their hand’, said Josiah.
At that same moment he heard a voice telling him: ‘Josiah, lift your hand up!’ He obeyed and immediately slammed into the tight stretched cord at top speed.
The result was horrific. The skin of his entire arm was ripped open and his throat was halfway cut open. However, he did survive this accident. The doctors told his parents it was a miracle that Josiah lifted his hand just in time (even though he didn’t see the cord). If he hadn’t lifted his arm up, he would have been decapitated, said the doctors.
Since this experience with God’s angels Josiah has developed compassion for the sick. On regular basis people receive miraculous healing when he prays for them. Watch his testimony in the following documentary.

The Bible says that angels exist all around us
There are dozens of descriptions of angels in the Bible. Those angels were sent by God. The word ‘angel’ is mentioned more than two hundred times in the Bible and the plural ‘angels’ about a hundred times.
There are many different kind of angels all with different tasks. There are angels who comfort and give strength, there are angels who bring messages from God to people. There are angels who cause death and destruction as a judgement of God over his enemies and there are angels who provide enormous miracles. There are angels who worship God passionately and create beautiful music and there are angels who help people to come into God’s presence. Angels bring messages from God to people or give direction where needed. I will briefly mention some examples from the Bible.
In the Bible the angels of God are usually mighty warriors with fiery swords who possess extraordinary power. They fight wars against demonic powers and carry out God’s judgements on the evil. Angels can be so strong that they can destroy complete armies in one instant. Following are bible verses about these kind of warrior angels:
‘And the Lord sent an angel who destroyed every mighty warrior, commander and officer in the camp of the king of Assyria.’ (2 Chronicles 32:21)
‘Then the angel of the Lord went out and struck 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men arose early in the morning, behold, all of these were dead.’ (Isaiah 37:36)
‘Then David lifted up his eyes and saw the angel of the Lord standing between earth and heaven, with his drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem.’ (1 Chronicles 21:16)
‘They struck the men who were at the doorway of the house with blindness, both small and great’ (Genesis 19:11)
Majestic and mighty
Angels can also be exceptionally majestic and powerful. In many cases they radiate a bright light which is characteristic for God. He is light without a trace of darkness, says the Bible.
‘After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illumined with his glory.’ (Revelation 18:1)
‘I saw another strong angel coming down out of heaven, clothed with a cloud; and the rainbow was upon his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire’ (Revelation 10:1)
‘And behold, a severe earthquake had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven.’ (Matthew 28:2)
Comfort and protection
God also sends angels to protect people, renew their strength or to comfort them. For instance, Jesus Christ received strength from an angel when he was sorely tried in the garden of Gethsemane just before he was to die on the cross.
‘Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him.’ (Luke 22:43)
‘The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them.’ (Psalm 34:8)
‘He lay down and slept under a [a]juniper tree; and behold, there was an angel touching him, and he said to him, “Arise, eat.” (1 Kings 19:5)
‘My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths.’ (Daniel 6:23)
‘Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.’ (Exodus 23:20)
‘But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the gates of the prison, and taking them out…’ (Acts 5:19)
Messengers of God
Angels serve the almighty God and bring his messages to people. The Bible gives dozens of examples thereof. The most know are possibly the appearances of angels round the birth of Jesus Christ. Mary, Joseph, the shepherds and the wise men saw the angels. Angels also gave instructions to people many times and encouraged people to be brave and to do what God was asking them to do. In the Bible there are many occasions where angels have a conversation with people.
‘The angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him, “The Lord is with you, O valiant warrior.’ (Gideon 6:12)
‘‘Then I said, “My lord, what are these?” And the angel who was speaking with me said to me, “I will show you what these are.’’ (Zechariah 1:9)
‘But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip saying, “Get up and go south to the road that descends from Jerusalem to Gaza.”’ (Acts 8:26)
Deceiving angels exist as well
Unfortunately not all angels who appear to people are equally reliable. The Bible shows us that a part of the angels who were serving God became rebellious and chose evil.
Many of those angels are bound in darkness waiting for God’s judgement.
‘For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment’ (2 Peter 2:4)
Besides fallen angels who are in captivity, there are spiritual beings who are not captured but who are very active to lead mankind away from God to other spiritual roads. Christians who sincerely serve Jesus Christ often battle with the demonic powers who will do anything and everything on earth to prevent or distort the true gospel.
‘For our struggle is not against [a]flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.’ (Ephesians 6:12)
How can you recognise fallen angels?
Fallen angels handle vicious tactics to lure mankind away from God and into deception. A common strategy is when those angels are pretending to be awesomely beautiful, loving ‘angels of light’. Some artists are being inspired by them to paint wonderful pictures of those kind of angels. They like to show their beauty off, not to bring people to worship God, but for people to follow them. I In the shops you can find many cards, posters and book with these wonderful pictures of angels.
The magnificent pictures of these deceiving angels are meant to seduce people to open themselves for the deceiving spirits.
The apostle Paul warned the Christians explicitly for deceiving angels who bring a message that deviates from the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
‘But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!’ (Galatians 1:8)
‘No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.’ (2 Corinthians 11:14)
Nowadays the bookstores bulge out from the books that talk about angels. Unfortunately most of them are books that are written under the inspiration of deceiving angels who want to divert people from the one true God.
These angels present themselves e.g. as a ‘guide’ that helps you find the right path to spiritual development.
Characteristic for these angels is that they delude people that you are ‘god’. They say man is essentially good and we don’t have to repent from the evil in our heart. The rebellious nature that man has in his heart towards his Creator is confirmed with these claims. Man will stay independent from God and spirituality is just a way to elevate yourself spiritually instead of humbly bowing before God.
Even the image of God as a loving Father who wants to have a personal relationship with us and who wants to be our real Guide is distorted by these ‘angels of light’. The way to the truth is portrayed mystically and people will become self-centred instead of learning to surrender to Jesus Christ.
Deceiving angels will say the divine is in you and essentially they will teach you to see yourself as ‘god’.
However, the beautiful words and spiritual sounding reasoning offer very little grip. If you go into it you will fall into a magical fog that looks very attractive but will eventually make you lose your way.
Deceiving angels deny Jesus Christ
Deceiving angels will never point to Jesus Christ as the saviour who comes to save us from our sins. The core of the gospel is that God sent his son Jesus Christ to the earth to redeem man from his debt. It is this debt that causes the hindrance between man and God.
Jesus Christ came to take the punishment for our mistakes upon himself. He did that to die on a cross as an innocent human being.
Jesus Christ is God’s substitute sacrifice for man. By accepting the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and turning away from the sin in our heart, the wall between man and God is removed and we will be a child of God. Deceiving angels will never say that Jesus Christ is the Son of God that takes away the sin of man. ‘You are not a sinner’, they say. ‘Deep in your heart there is only goodness in you’. However Jesus says: ‘There is no one on earth who is truly good. That is why man is separated from God.’
True angels serve Jesus Christ and want Him to be worshiped.
They don’t want anybody to see them as the source of salvation. Since that is God. That is why you cannot ‘call’ them by meditation or prayers. Angels are just servants who perform God’s will in the background. They want god to receive all the honour. That is why appearances of angels are usually very brief and sporadic while people can have extensive experiences and encounters with God Himself. He is our Father and Friend, our Joy and Redeemer.
God is your guide
God wants to be your Father, help you and answer all your questions. He is your real Guide who is truly dependable. God is always ready for you! What else can you wish for?
In New Age and several other occult circles angels are too much in the centre of attention instead of God. That is proof that they are demons posing as angels of the light.
There is no angel who is the source of life, source of light, source of redemption or anything. True angels are serving messengers who want to direct people to the one true God. They are warriors fighting along to save people from the capture of sin and death.
If you ever see an angel or if you hear or read about angels who claim to do all sorts of things for you, be on your alert. Angels are not there to be followed, worshiped or to be counselled by. The word ‘angel’ comes from the word ‘ANGELOS’ which means MESSENGER. They are mere servants of our heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. A true angel who hasn’t withdrawn from his place of humble service, will be in the background and wants nothing more for you than to know Jesus Christ.
Our relationship is with God, not with angels.
Deceiving angels will lead you away from Jesus Christ in a subtle way. Or they will give a different interpretation about Jesus Christ. They will talk e.g. about ‘the Christ’ and pretend that it is some kind of spiritual supreme state of being. No, Jesus Christ is a person, He is the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords, in heaven and earth. Everything in heaven, on earth and under the earth and everything that has a name is completely subjected to the dominion of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Jesus Christ is the King of Kings. He is the almighty. Angels adore Him, serve Him, jubilate before Him and want to see Him proclaimed.
They see God’s love for people like no other. They know like no other how deep God suffers for those who suffer. They want the love of God to be known on the earth.
So don’t let those books, lectures and doctrines about angels deceive you. Never search for angels because that is idolatry. You will be certain to be deceived.
Angels are not God. Angels are servants of God. Don’t look for them. Look for God.
Search the Lord of the heavenly armies, the most high God, the only one who created heaven and earth. Only He is worthy to receive our adoration. Only He is the source for our redemption and help.
Do not serve angels who want to be like an idol for you so you will follow them more than you will follow God himself. Do not be deceived. Because the strategy of these false angels is to enslave you. They pretend to be very nice but in reality they are horrible monsters. Once they were brilliant angels in God’s holy and perfect presence. But because they became proud and rebellious they couldn’t stay with God and became God’s enemies.
There is a war going on between God and Satan – the false ‘angel’ of light’ – who wants to doom people like he is doomed himself.
Do not look for angels, do not look for spiritual adviser outside God. Look for Jesus Christ. He alone died on the cross as a sacrifice for your sins. Not a single angel, not one single spiritual ‘guide’ died for you. Only Jesus Christ became a person, lived among us, healed ten thousands of sick people and raised many from the dead and laid down his life as a sacrifice for the entire mankind.
Search Him with all your heart.
If you serve, adore and follow Him with all your heart as Lord and King, He will send his armies of numerous angels who have with so many ranks and standings and He will order them to serve you. Only then will all honour go to Him who gave his life for you.
