Of course it is impossible to see God, since He is a spiritual being. So nobody will be able to show you a ‘God image’ in the sense of an actual photograph of God. What we can see however, is what God is doing in the lives of people. His love, His power, His goodness, the way He comforts and saves us is very real. (If you haven’t encountered God yet, then I encourage you to check out the website GOD IS REAL and find out for yourself how real God is.) On this page you can see several beautiful images of God that show something of His heart, His character and His actions. These God photos help you discover who God is and how deep His love is for you. Take some time to let these images and photos of God show you how overwhelmingly beautiful God is. He is so much more loving and wonderful than we can ever imagine…
The first photos show the main hallmark of God: He is a compassionate Father who deeply cares for us, especially when we struggle with our weaknesses. He wants to hold us in His loving arms, where we find rest and healing.
Jesus Christ revealed God better than anyone ever did. Every time Jesus spoke about God, He called Him FATHER. Therefor we know God is not some distant tyrant, waiting to smash us with His big hammer. God is nothing like the countless so called gods from Greek mythology or the weird demon beings from the different religions.
He will discipline us in His gracious love and wisdom, to make us flourish and fruitful. He has dreams over our life and wants to help us become all He has intended us to be. Look at these God images and see one of the most powerful characteristics of God: He is your Father. A real, tender, loving caring Father. In His arms you are truly safe. He holds you when you are hurting and He comforts you. He gives you new strength, when you listen to His voice and He gives you new hope. Enjoy these God images and share them with others!
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1)
“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.” (Psalm 103:13)
“The Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.” (John 16:27 )
“There is one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live.” (1 Corinthians 8:6)
“The Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction.” (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4)
The next God images are about one of the most famous stories ever heard: the prodigal son. Jesus Christ told this parable to explain the heart of God towards sinners. It’s about a young man who left his father, went away to a far country and spent all his money in wild living. He ended up broken and desperate.
This story about the prodigal son is an illustration of mankind. We have chosen to live in sin, far away from God our father. We have denied God’s existence and chose our own way. But in the end we realize sin doesn’t help us and we become desperate. Then we may know that God is always waiting for us, with wide open arms. He will not condemn us, when we return to Him, no matter what we have done wrong.
He rejoices over the fact that we have returned. He puts new clothes on us and throws the greatest party ever, to celebrate our return in His arms of love. Read for yourself this wonderful story, that Jesus Christus told, to show us how wonderful God really is.
“When he came to his senses, he said: ‘I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ So he got up and went to his father.
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
“The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.” (Luke 15:11-32)
When we mess up and turn back to God, we may feel unworthy to be called His children. So we think we must become very religious, in order to please God.
He doesn’t put heavy religious burdens upon us, to make us His slaves. He gladly restores us as His beloved children! He clothes us with dignity and He honors us.
In Him you find your true value. People look at your performances and your outward appearance, but in the heart of the Father you discover who you truly are, and He says: you are my beloved child! Welcome home…
“I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Cor. 6:18)
The following pictures of God show us the coaching side of our Father. If we are willing to accept His wisdom and correction, then He will open up a future for us, that is beyond our wildest dreams.
“My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you … then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.” (Proverbs 2:1, 5)
“My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor faint when you are reproved by Him; For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines, And He scourges every son whom He receives.” (Hebrews 12:6)
In this photo we see how God lifts us up, to show us the future as He sees it: full of light and victory. In our own strength we fail and fall, and our dreams shatter. But He restores our dreams and makes them even more beautiful then before.
“But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.” (Psalm 3:3)
“I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand. With Your counsel You will guide me, And afterward receive me to glory.” (Psalm 73:23)
‘You, O Lord, are our Father, our Redeemer from of old is your name’. (Isaiah 63:16)
The Father Heart of God:
Experiencing the Depths of His Love for You
Find rest in the arms of God, your dearly loving Father. This book is probably the world’s most famous christian book revealing God as a true Father, who loves us.
You may be surprised to see photos of a mother with her child, as an image of God. But the amazing thing about God, is that He is not only a father – the Bible also describes God as a mother who tenderly cares for us:
“…as one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you.” (Isaiah 66:13)
Psalmist David wrote how he found peace and comfort in the arms of God, the way a child becomes still in the arms of its mother:
“Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.” (Psalm 131:2)
It is logical that God is not only a father, but also a mother because the Bible says He created both man and woman in His own image.
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:27)

If you long to know more about the Mother heart of God, this unique book will be a real blessing for you.
The next images show us something of the breathtaking glory of God our Creator. The splendor of nature shows us how incredibly beautiful God is.
“Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.” (Revelation 4:11)
He is the Source of Life, the Great Creator, the Mastermind who invented all these mind-blowing miracles. Scientists are still puzzled with the dazzling complexity and perfection they see in the countless masterpieces in nature. No man will ever be able to imitate it, let alone create it!
“He has made His wonderful works to be remembered; The Lord is gracious and full of compassion.” (Psalm 111:4)
God is not only extremely powerful, He is also amazingly tender and He has full attention for the small things. These photos show how carefully God designed His wonderful pieces of living art. This helps us understand He is also full of attention for the details of our lives. You are not too small for God and your life is not too small for Him.
“Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you.” (Luke 12:27, 28)
Everyone of these photos show us something about God. His heart is so creative and so beautiful… His entire character is so glorious and full of goodness. It is this goodness we see reflected in these images of nature.
“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.’ (Psalm 95:6)
“You will have the Lord for an everlasting light.” (Isaiah 60:20)
“The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; The world and all its fullness, You have founded them.’ (Psalm 98:11)
The following pictures show us that God is our Savior. First of all He saves us from our sins, and the consequential judgement we deserve because of our transgressions. He died for us, at the cross, to pay for our sins. Jesus Christ became the very sacrifice for us.
No man can know what Jesus christ went through, in order to save mankind from the eternal grip of satan and sin. Thanks to his sacrifice, we can now be saved from the dominion of darkness and become children of God.
He opens the way for us to become God’s beloved children through the new birth in the Holy Spirit. What a privilege, to become children of the Most High God, and be His beloved ones in all eternity!
Photos of birds with their wings spread open, can be a true image of God. The Bible says God is surrounded by four living creatures, who have four different faces. One of their faces is a flying eagle. It means that God is exalted above any circumstance and He sees beyond the obvious. He sees the future and He is full of hope.
When we have faith in the goodness and love of God, we also spread our spiritual wings and rise up to higher realms, where we can see into the future. Your circumstances may look overwhelming to you, but use your faith and rise up into the realm of God’s goodness and see the breakthrough God has for you.
When we go through the storms of life, and everything in and around us is shaken to the core, God is our one and only unshakable rock of refuge. These images show how God helps us in times of need and gives us peace in the mists of trouble. He gives us supernatural faith to overcome obstacles and walk in His victory.
When we are filled with the Holy Spirit we can enter into the glorious presence of God, through prayer and worship. Focus on God, not on yourself, and see His splendor, His greatness, His majesty and His eternal love. Worship Him for who He is and give your all to Him. Let these God images inspire you to spend more time in prayer and worship, to experience the wonderful glory of God, in your life.
Jesus christ said that whoever followed Him, would no longer walk in darkness but He would give them the light of life. This light is the truth that God is real, God deeply loves us, God forgives our sins when we believe in Jesus Christ, God is with us, and God helps us always. The light of life is the opening of our inner eyes for who God is.
David Sorensen had a dramatic encounter with God, which completely transformed his life. He decided to spend the rest of his life showing others show real God is and how much he loves us. David's desire is that people would learn how to experience God as the most beautiful reality there is.
